Personal Profile and Introduction to Article,"And From Timelessness Came Time"
Dear Sir:
I am a retired schoolteacher who is also a professional musician/pianist and music composer. Over the years I have written many articles/papers on philosophical, social, political, economic, and educational topics which have appeared in local newspapers/journals. I have been trying to achieve the highest degree of certainty that heaven and God exist; a conclusion that would be based on sound logical deduction rather than by blind faith or through organized religion. I have finally achieved this goal through some unique "revelations" as expressed in the enclosed article,"And From Timelessness Came Time." It contains some very different concepts/definitions such as:" time is a non physical, invisible energy force which moves all events taking place in our universe in a constant state of forward momentum …a condition of operation imposed on our universe when it was created ….. we live in a very specific type of universe, a " Time Universe" which by its very nature requires a beginning, a beginning that could only come from a very different type of universe, one that never had a beginning, one that always existed, a "Timeless Universe," the only answer to the big question of what happened before our universe began… nothing that happens in our ( physical) universe can speed up nor slow down the forward momentum of (non-physical) time" Finally it brings the reader to a very logical conclusion that heaven and God do indeed exist; a conclusion based on a new concept/definition of time, a stand-back, new look at our ((time) universe, and the iron-clad reasoning that all of this had to be initiated from a state/dimension of timelessness. and that some Entity, very powerful and all-knowing has to exist within it. Not only does this paper offer interesting reading, it could profoundly affect individual thinking and behavior by offering a new niche,a very different, overlooked component in the argument for God’s existence It could make the"giant leap of faith" a "small step" for many. This paper forces startling personal revelations and convictions which in turn promise the better society; a mindset based on a new rationale: "the existence of time demands the existence of timelessness and in turn, the existence of heaven and God." The ideas expressed in this paper desperately need to be considered by as many people as possible for the best possible reasons; reasons for which I humbly ask that you seriously consider it for publication.
I am hoping that you find this communication worthy of response.
Sincerely,
Charles Santagati

AND FROM TIMELESSNESS CAME TIME
… the existence of time demands the existence of
timelesness and in turn, the existence of heaven and God…
Time is a non-physical energy force which exerts an invisible pressure on all activities and their durations taking place in our universe causing them to move on and evolve in a constant state of forward momentum. Specific lengths of duration are taken out of this momentum ( by us) and labeled as units of time(ie: seconds, minutes etc.). These time units are then conferred on events that happen, to denote when an event began, how long it lasted and when it ended.
We exist in a specific type of universe, a "Time Universe," so called because all events which occur in it operate within this framework of forward-moving durations which we call time. As the essential nature of any Time Universe requires that it have a beginning, one question inevitably arises: "What happened before the
beginning of our universe?" Ultimately we would have to conclude that a Time Universe(like ours) could only be propelled into existence from another, very different type of universe, an original launching point which had the quality of timelessness, a universe that had no beginning. It simply always existed; a Timeless Universe! Amazing as this realization is to contemplate, logic dictates that there must be a different type of universe somewhere, one that exists in a state of timelessness, a universe without time, having no beginning, and no end. The existence of a timeless universe is the only plausible answer to the question: "What happened before the first beginning?"
What can we ascertain about this Timeless Universe? First of all, since it cannot be perceived by our physical senses, it must be non-physical. Secondly, since an infinitely powerful force was exerted by some entity existing within it, powerful enough to create a physical universe containing incalculable amounts of matter and energy, plus a special kind of non-physical, infinitely-powerful energy force to set and keep everything in motion (a motion we call time), there must exist within this timeless universe a force more powerful than all the matter and energy in our universe combined, much greater than anything imaginable by us. Standing back and looking objectively at the overwhelming complexity of matter interactions, the extremely precise way matter had to evolve in order to produce conscious, thinking organisms (human beings), even taking into consideration the eons of time this process had to produce us, even though on the surface and in the short term, this evolutionary process is indeed, made up of haphazard, chance interactions; when we see the ultimate result of all this randomness, we can’t help but deduce that there is an underlying theme of contrivance, direction, deliberateness; those products of a
conscious thinking mind, which envisioned that there would be over time, an inevitability, a point to all of this. Presently, mankind is this inevitability, the point of it all; the ultimate product of evolution.
When we speak of time as a non-physical energy force, what do we mean? The term, non-physical energy, means: an energy that is not derived from, and not the result of, any matter interaction, yet it has the power to move matter. Time is that non-physical energy force which encompasses everything in our entire cosmos, that, although unseen, its effect on events can definitely be observed, as it moves everything onward; as it prods evolutions and interactions that occur in our universe with a steady, incessant pressure; a forward momentum which we have separated for our own purposes, into discreet, measurable durations, or time units.
To summarize: We exist in a Time Universe which didn’t always exist. It had a beginning which had to be initiated from a dimension of timelessness, a Timeless Universe. Secondly, in order to propel our universe into existence, some kind of being must exist in this Timeless Universe that would have to be immortal, infinitely powerful and intelligent enough to create our universe, a being with abilities far beyond the scope of human comprehension. Some might call this timeless dimension, Heaven, and the Being living there and ruling it…God.
Postscript: Man cannot alter time. He can neither slow it down nor speed it up. Why? Time is a non-physical entity, the product of a spiritual timeless dimension, a place apart from our physical universe. Although time does affect all matter interactions in the universe as we can easily observe, time itself cannot be affected by anything material, anything we do, nor by anything that happens in our universe. Time is a force which was created simultaneously when our physical universe was created. It was a," condition of operation," imposed on our entire universe by an all-powerful spiritual Being, and not meant to be trifled with by "mere mortals" or physical happenings within our universe. We can move faster or slower, do more or less within a given, established time unit, but we can never change the actual length of duration of that time unit. The length of duration of a second (for example) can only appear to change by what we do but its duration does not actually change.
In conclusion: If a man leaves the earth traveling at the speed of light for twenty years (an earth- time length of duration which also applies to the entire universe),when he returns to earth he will simply be… twenty years older.
